Welcome to the Nova Scotia Building Officials Association

We are an association of approximately 150 members primarily representing Building Officials who administer and enforce The Nova Scotia Building Code for municipal governments throughout the province of Nova Scotia.

We have many associate members who work in the design and construction industry in the province representing engineering technologist. housing authorities, home designers and home inspectors. Also included in our membership are those involved in our Professional Studies Program which is designed to train and educate individuals wishing to become Qualified Building Officials.
